But now, a new generation of men, are padding their wardrobes with mink, coyote and raccoon faux furs. With the help of designers such as Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and Calvin Klein, fur has crossed the gender divide. "Faux fur is one of the hugest trends of the season," said Sarah Shirley, a New York-based fashion stylist and trend expert for Bloomindales. "Faux is fun, and you don't have to sink a lot of money into it." With cool weather fast approaching, it's not too early to start planning how you will stay warm this winter. American and European designers offer numerous options with their fall and winter collections, and some of those choices include luxurious faux fur coats According to PETA, both the fashion world and furriers are deluding themselves if they think people will ever again buy fur in the quantity they once did. "The fashion magazines can say that fur is back," says PETA spokesperson Jenny Woods, "but customers are not buying it." Maybe so. But your typical woman is still less concerned about the thought police than about the fashion police.
